Announcing Service Windows: Implementing 2FA

As we recently announced, we have pursued an opt-in second factor authentication feature on Kolab Now. As described, the implementation is limiting users to the web client, and this requires some reconfiguration of various servers and services.

To be able to configure our external facing services (IMAP, POP, Managesieve, Submission, CalDAV, CardDAV, WebDAV and ActiveSync) to exclude 2fa-users from being eligible to authenticate successfully, we declare two Service Windows:

• Saturday night between 19:00 UTC and 21:00 UTC
• Sunday night between 19:00 UTC and 21:00 UTC

Over the course of Saturday and Sunday evenings we will be reconfiguring some of these services, and finally be able to introduce the necessary checkboxes for you to be able to take advantage of 2FA.
